In the summer of 2022, Peter interviewed me following the launch of my book, ‘Succesvol transformeren in 10 stappen’. 

Why I wrote about transformation

Years of leading global communications teams gave me invaluable experience of change and transformation. But I often found myself cobbling together insights from a myriad of consulting models and approaches, many of which had become quite outdated. These methods may have worked in some places, but they fell short in the real complexity of a multinational where change is ‘polycentric’ rather than ‘monocentric’.

I kept asking myself: why isn’t all this valuable information gathered in one place? That question planted a seed.

It was around this time that I met the publisher of the ‘In 10 Steps’ series of over 100 editions of structured and practical guides on a wide range of topics. This collaboration provided the perfect framework for sharing my insights. Although transformation is not a linear process, I’ve distilled its key stages into 10 ‘steps’. 

A few months later, my book was born—a practical resource for anyone involved in navigating change.
